Job Title: Class 1 Welder
Location: Jeanerette, LA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $24/hr + $100 per diem

Overview:
We are seeking experienced Class 1 Welders for full-time positions in Jeanerette, LA. This role involves welding aluminum in a ship/boat building environment. Candidates must be proficient in reading blueprints, welding in multiple positions, and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Hours:
MondayFriday, 6:00 A.M. 5:00 P.M. (40 hours per week)
Potential for overtime on weekdays and weekends

Education or Required Experience:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in the ship/boat building industry welding aluminum
• Must be able to read blueprints
• Must be able to tack, distribute heat evenly, and lay a clean bead
• Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Mock Weld Test

Required Skills:

• Strong attention to detail to support a high-quality assurance program
• Excellent math skills and ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Proficient in either fitting or welding aluminum
• Ability to repair defective welds
• Ability to weld in all positions (uphill, downhill, horizontal, pipe, or flat)
• Safe operation of power equipment in compliance with safety standards
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to operate power tools (grinders, saws, drills, etc.)
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders as needed to perform tasks
