Role Summary

The Infotainment team develops in-vehicle infotainment applications and user experiences. We welcome developers from diverse backgrounds with experience in Android, SDKs, IoT, Bluetooth, and Security. Our team is passionate about innovation and adventure, both in and outside of work.

Responsibilities

1. Design and develop infotainment applications on Android Automotive OS.
2. Create modular and scalable software adaptable to various products and use cases.
3. Develop design patterns and libraries to facilitate application development.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product and UI/UX design teams.
5. Identify and resolve application performance issues.
6. Conduct code reviews and implement continuous integration and development.
7. Write test code to ensure quality, robustness, and correctness.
8. Design and implement application updates and releases.
9. Investigate AAOS codebase for performance and integration improvements.
10. Develop sample and demo applications utilizing our technology.
11. Engage in continual learning through workshops, conferences, and talks.

Qualifications

1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (MS preferred).
2. Proven Android application developer with 2+ years of experience.
3. Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and C++.
4. Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.
5. Experience with Android and Android Jetpack APIs, including Android NDK and JNI.
6. Knowledge of Android design principles and application interface guidelines.
7. Experience with Androids performance and testing frameworks.
8. Familiarity with embedded Android framework services.
9. Experience with mapping, multimedia, and Bluetooth solutions is a plus.
10. Knowledge of push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging.
11. Excellent coding, proofreading, and collaboration skills.
12. Proficiency with code versioning tools like Git and Gitlab.
13. Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins.
14. Familiarity with Agile Scrum practices.
15. Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.

Additional Information

Salary ranges vary by location, e.g., Palo Alto: $116,000 - $145,000; Irvine: $107,000 - $133,000. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
