This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for cannabis, excellent customer service skills, and flexible availability. As a Budtender, youll assist customers in selecting the right cannabis products, provide expert guidance on consumption methods, and create a welcoming environment. This is a part-time role, primarily requiring weekend and evening shifts, so it's perfect for those looking for flexible work hours!Job Duties & Responsibilities:Customer Engagement:Provide exceptional customer service, guiding visitors through their cannabis selections and answering any questions they have.Build rapport with customers and make tailored product recommendations based on individual preferences and needs.Promote a welcoming and friendly environment that keeps customers coming back.Product Knowledge & Education:Stay current with cannabis products, strains, consumption methods, and industry trends to provide accurate, up-to-date information to customers.Educate customers on the effects and benefits of different products, ensuring they make informed purchasing decisions.Sales & Transactions:Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring compliance with local regulations.Verify customer age and medical card status (if applicable) in accordance with state laws.Help meet sales targets while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and product recommendations.Compliance & Security:Follow all state and local cannabis laws and regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products.Ensure store security and report any unusual or suspicious activity to management.Inventory Management:Assist with inventory control by keeping products stocked, organized, and properly displayed.Participate in regular inventory checks and assist with restocking as needed.Store Maintenance:Ensure the dispensary remains clean, organized, and inviting, especially during busy weekend and evening hours.Help maintain a safe and hygienic work environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.Team Collaboration:Work alongside your team to maintain a positive, efficient, and collaborative work environment.Assist with training new team members as needed.Job Requirements:Age Requirement:Must be at least 21 years of age or 18 with a valid medical card.Experience:Previous customer service or retail experience is preferred. Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus, but not required.A strong passion for cannabis and eagerness to learn more about the products we offer.Legal Compliance:Must pass a background check, as required by local and state regulations.Ability to verify customer information, including age and medical status (if applicable).Education:High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework or relevant certifications are a plus.Licensing (if applicable):Completion of cannabis-specific training or Responsible Vendor Certification may be required upon hire.Skills & Qualifications:Customer-Focused:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers.Ability to explain complex product details in a clear and friendly manner.Knowledge of Cannabis Products:Basic understanding of cannabis products (strains, edibles, concentrates, etc.) is helpful.
