The Stain Specialist is responsible for assessing and executing stain projects as assigned. This position will possess a high level of skill and experience specific to the stain scope as well as other painting functions
Essential Job Functions:
- Measures area to be stained to determine material quantity.
- Identifies and verifies product type, color, and finish to be used on projects.
- Orders materials directly from suppliers / submits allocation tickets to Company warehouse.
- Masks, removes, covers, or otherwise protects floors, hardware, trim, furniture and other surfaces as needed to complete stain tasks.
- Sands and prepares surfaces as required for proper stain finish.
- Applies stain, polyurethane, and other specialty products with expert application techniques.
- Must have extensive experience with stain matching techniques and applications.
- Maintains proper inventory of products and tools on work vehicle to complete assigned jobs.
- Complies with chemical and waste storage disposal and storage regulations / best practices.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and provide consistently executed work.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
- 3+ years of experience with stain projects
- Ability to learn new software systems specific to the business.
- Valid driver's license for 3+ years and insurable under the company insurance policy.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required
