Kable Staffing is a CDL A - Driver in Urbana, OH. This position is full-time, direct hire opportunity.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Long-distance driving.
• Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers.
• Obeying and following applicable traffic laws.
• Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle.
• Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state regulations.
• Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
• Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules.
• Complying with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Reporting defects, accidents and violations.
• Performing daily maintenance of trucks (refueling, cleaning, etc.).
• Interacting with customers in a professional manner.
• Recording cargo deliveries.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CDL – Class A
• Certificate from an accredited CDL school
• 21 years or older
• HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsements required
• Clean driving record
• Traffic laws/ DOT regulations/ driving knowledge
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to move or lift to 50+ lbs.
• Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
• Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
• Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Communication skills
