Job Description

A commercial construction company based in the DMV is looking for a Construction Superintendent to join their growing team. This is a contract position - It will be project based.

As a site Superintendent you will coordinate and oversee daily activities on the job site, constantly focus on maintaining the schedule, and report daily to a project manager and client management.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractor, tenant vendor, and LL contact lists.
• Schedule, coordinate, and oversee daily activities on site.
• Maintain daily logs and create weekly reports with the project manager to distribute to a client team of management, architects, and engineers.
• Work closely with the design team to quickly troubleshoot and solve issues that may arise to maintain the schedule.
• Protect the budget for the job and escalate issues of cost to management for quick resolution.
• Schedule and oversee inspections and work closely with inspectors to adhere to jurisdictional requirements as requested.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in commercial/retail construction.
• High School Diploma
• General knowledge of commercial construction with lived experience.
• General knowledge of Microsoft office products.
• Eager to learn and apply new knowledge.
• Ability to provide the highest level of customer service and client focus.

Other

• This job will require you to change locations as one project is completed and the next starts.
• Jobs may be located within approximately 1.5-hour drive from Washington, DC. You must be able to get to and from the jobs reliably every day.
• You must have the ability to assist with the use of power tools and light machinery and be willing to occasionally get your hands dirty.
• This job will require light physical activity and may require you to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
• General Labor will be provided to assist with physical activities on the jobsite. - Overtime, weekend, and night work may be required.
• Work hours are generally 6a 2p daily.
• Technical or relevant higher education is a plus.
• Experience with restaurant construction is preferable.
