This is a unique opportunity for a Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator to step into a greenfield project, immediately drive the design, optimization, and security of enterprise-level data structures, and influence the future state of our core applications. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our expansion into a cloud-native environment, bringing a security-first mindset and a deep understanding of compliance in a regulated setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Database Design & Modeling: Design, optimize, and implement scalable relational database schemas, tables, and indexes to support business requirements.

• PostgreSQL Administration (PaaS): Manage cloud-hosted PostgreSQL instances, including provisioning, configuration, performance tuning, and ensuring high availability.

• Security & Compliance: Implement advanced security controls, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and role-based access, to meet stringent industry standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, StateRAMP).

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a PostgreSQL Database Administrator.

• Proven expertise with at least 2 years of managing PostgreSQL Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments in a major public cloud.

• Strong practical knowledge of implementing and maintaining PostgreSQL replication strategies and Row-Level Security (RLS).

• Experience working in compliance-driven environments, such as those adhering to StateRAMP, FedRAMP, or NIST 800-53.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL development for performance tuning and complex data manipulation.
