Our Handyman position will be based out of our offices in Madison Heights, MI however, the position will be in-the-field and require travel.  This position will work on a team as well as independently.  The Handyman position requires hands-on experience and a solid foundation of basic maintenance skills, including, plumbing, electrical work, drywall repair and general maintenance.  This is a full-time position that requires flexibility in scheduling based upon timing of projects/assignments.

Position Duties:

• Perform a wide range of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks in residential and commercial settings.
• Handle basic plumbing repairs, electrical work, drywall installation and patching, and other general handyman duties.
• Assess repair needs and determine appropriate solutions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Complete tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Communicate with supervisors and clients regarding work progress and any issues encountered.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Keep track of work orders, materials used, and time spent on each task.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

Position Requirements:

• Proven experience in basic handyman tasks, including plumbing, electrical, drywall, and general maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Good physical condition and stamina to perform manual labor.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and practices.  

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling and crawling for extended periods during work tasks.
• Climbing ladders and scaffolding safely at various heights.
• Using hands and fingers to operate tools, handle materials, and perform detailed work.
• Working in various environmental conditions, including outdoors in different weather conditions.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights as needed.
• Good vision and hearing to assess work areas and ensure safety.
