Join a team responsible for $50 million dollars of real estate and growing! We are transforming the way home maintenance and repairs are completed for residential and investment properties. At the center is our team of service professionals aligned to a portfolio of homes. We are looking for a skilled and reliable handyman to join our team as a Home Service Specialist.

Home Service Specialists perform a wide home maintenance tasks to keep the home safe, comfortable, and cost efficient. A few examples are replacing the caulking, cleaning the dryer vent, checking smoke alarms, and replacing GFCIs.

For residential clients, the Home Service Specialist works with the homeowners to understand their “honey do” list and visit monthly to check things off. Each client’s “home to do list” is unique which makes it interesting for our team members, but often they fall into the following categories:

• Standard repairs – fix the toilet, repair the trim, remedy the leaky faucet, troubleshoot an outlet
• Home improvements – hang ceiling fan, install storm door, change kitchen faucet, paint the living room
• Home tasks – take out the patio furniture, pressure wash the driveway, set out the holiday decorations
• Small projects – hang a family picture wall, put together furniture/toys, childproof the home

For our investment property owners, the Home Service Specialists conducts bi-annual maintenance appointments, remediates issues that arise during tenancy, and perform tenant turnover services like painting, new flooring, and changing out the locks.

Our team of service specialists enjoys consistent work hours with nights and weekends off, use of company van, paid vacation and holidays, wide range of projects, and most importantly the bond they form with our homeowners.

To be an effective Home Service Specialist, you will be skilled and hard-working, with outstanding problem-solving abilities. Skillful hands, good physical stamina, and a drive to take care of the client’s needs are talents of a successful Home Service Specialist. Previous experience working as a handyman, painter, or trim carpenter is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Perform home maintenance and complete prioritized home to-dos
• Prioritize work and estimate tasks
• Prepare prior to the start of each day with tools and materials required
• Maintain the schedule throughout the day; track key tasks and time spent
• Accountable for the upkeep and maintenance of company tools, vans, and equipment
• Contribute to project and material estimates for larger jobs
• Aligned to a portfolio of homes and/or rental properties
• Perform other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to work between the hours of 7-7 Monday thru Friday; typical hours are 8:30-4:30
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid PA Driver’s License with reliable transportation to/from office
• Insurable (driving and workers comp)
• Drug test and background check
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
• Personal phone available for limited company use
• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
• Previous experience working as a handyman, painter, or trim carpenter is a plus
