Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Hanyman to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing rental units for new tenants, performing general maintenance tasks, and ensuring properties meet our company’s high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness. Typical tasks may include general carpentry, electrical, plumbing, flooring, cabinetry, and general maintenance work. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where schedules and priorities may shift quickly.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in general maintenance, construction, or make-ready/turnover work preferred.
Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and household repairs
Ability to safely operate power tools and hand tools.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work, including climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Skills (not required)
Experience with apartment or rental property turnovers.
Familiarity with job tracking software (Knowify, CompanyCam, etc.).
HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certifications.
