The Role

Were seeking a Head of Sage Success (Buyers) to take full ownership of the Sage lifecycle: acquisition, activation, retention & community, and re-engagement. Youll be accountable for growing monthly active Sages, increasing retention and satisfaction, and building a community that keeps executives coming back.

This role is both strategic and handson: youll set vision and strategy, and also run the workdesign growth experiments, launch programs, and shape the product experience. You will lead a small, crossfunctional team and have access to trusted advisors (e.g., a fractional CMO) as a strategic resource.

What Youll Do

  • Own Sage growth endtoend
  • Drive the full lifecycle: acquisition, onboarding, retention, reengage, and resurrection.
  • Define and be accountable for metrics such as monthly active Sages, retention, NPS, and engagement.
  • Partner with product and engineering to build inproduct loops that drive activation and habit formation. Translate customer and behavioral insights into product improvements.
  • Use data and experimentation (A/B tests, funnels, behavioral analytics) to inform roadmap and strategy.
  • Lead and grow the team
  • Manage, coach, and scale a small, crossfunctional team. Align team goals with company priorities and run clear crossfunctional execution.
  • Oversee campaigns (e.g., LinkedIn, paid media, SEO, retargeting) to acquire and reengage Sages. Build useful content for technology executives. Expand and deepen the Sage community to encourage authentic peertopeer interactions.
  • Lead strategy for Sage community and events
  • Shape the community through focused live and virtual experiencesroundtables, dinners, and briefings that build relationships and loyalty.
  • Be the voice of the Sage
  • Champion the buyer experience. Bring clear customer insight into leadership, product, and vendor discussions.
  • Productminded growth leader: youve driven growth through product (activation flows, loops, retention mechanics).
  • Marketplace or community experience: background in twosided marketplaces, B2B SaaS, or executive communities is a plus.
  • Handson operator: you can run campaigns, analyze funnels, and iterate quickly.
  • Community builder: you know how to foster executivelevel engagement via programs and events.
  • Team builder: experience managing small, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Datadriven and creative: you use data to guide decisions and can find practical ways to engage busy executives.
  • Clear communicator: you can align internal teams and communicate clearly with executives.
  • Help build a better model for software buyingone that puts Sages in control.
  • Lead a function with real ownership and the resources to execute.
  • Work directly with the CEO and leadership team at a venturebacked startup.
  • Shape the experience for influential technology executives.
