This position is full time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 4 weeks of paid on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule during normal business hours.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Reviews electronic chart documentation ensuring correct patient, location, and no duplicate information
• Manages requests for documentation and information
• Scans documents in electronic medical records
• Locates, logs, retrieves, files, and delivers medical records stored in various mediums and systems
• May train and mentor co - workers
• Analyzes documentation and tracks completion to meet regulatory requirements
• Promotes principles of health information accuracy, transparency, currency, accessibility, relevancy, and reliability
• Work with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel (create, edit, save documents and spreadsheets), and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent experience
• Must be 18 years of age OR older
• 1+ years of customer service experience within a hospital OR healthcare environment
• Experience with Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work full time onsite at 2925 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis, MN, 55407
• Ability to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST from Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of customer service experience
• RHIT OR RHIA certification
• Clerical OR administrative support background
• Health Information Management (HIM) experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
• Experience with working in a hospital, physician's office, OR medical clinic setting
• Experience with working in a call center
• Experience in communicating with patients & staff with various educational & socio - economic backgrounds

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.74 - $31.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
