Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled Registered Nurse with Operating Room expertise is sought for a contract position in Apex, NC, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment. The role involves 12-hour variable shifts with weekend call responsibilities at a prominent medical campus in the Raleigh area. This contract lasts approximately 13 weeks with guaranteed weekly hours available in both 36 and 40-hour options.

Key Qualifications:

• Current NC or Compact RN license
• AHA BLS certification
• 3-5 years of experience in orthopedic, spine, gynecology, general surgery, and robotics procedures
• Proficiency with Epic charting system is strongly preferred
• Ability to manage change effectively with a resilient work ethic
• Strong interpersonal skills suited for collaborative team settings
• Experience in travel nursing highly preferred

Schedule and Shift Details:

• 12-hour variable shifts
• Weekend call required (up to 50 hours over six weeks)
• Orientation and unit closure periods may affect hours

Responsibilities:

• Providing perioperative nursing care in orthopedic, spine, gynecologic, general, and robotic surgeries
• Adhering to strict clinical protocols and maintaining sterility in the operating room
• Collaborating with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Documenting patient care accurately using Epic where applicable

Work Attire:

• Scrubs in red, black, or gray solid colors; Pediatric areas allow designs
• T-shirts under scrubs must be solid red, black, gray, or white
• Scrub jackets permitted; hoodies and fleece jackets are not allowed

Health and Safety:

• COVID-19 vaccination and booster required unless medically or religiously exempt
