RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Maryland Heights, MO. This role is essential to maintaining the performance, integrity, and security of our client's Oracle-based infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Oracle Database Administrator will ensure high availability and performance of all Oracle database systems operating 24x7
Monitor and manage databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
Support and maintain Oracle 19c environments across onshore and offshore teams
Implement and manage Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication
Utilize Veridata to validate data consistency across replicated environments
Perform routine database maintenance, backups, and recovery operations
Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to support business-critical systems
As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will write and maintain shell scripts for automation and monitoring tasks
Participate in on-call rotation and shift-based support coverage as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
Strong experience with Oracle Database (preferably 19c) in a production environment
Experience with Oracle GoldenGate or strong willingness to learn
Familiarity with Veridata for data validation and synchronization
Proficiency with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and administration
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to write and troubleshoot shell scripts for automation
Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment with global teams
Nice to Haves:
Experience with Exadata and shell scripting is a strong plus
Prior experience in large-scale enterprise environments
Exposure to performance tuning and capacity planning
Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
