The opportunity

Delaware North's Patina Group is hiring full time Pastry Cooks to join our team at Hudson Yards in New York, New York. As a Pastry Cook, you will prepare the bakery products at [UNIT NAME] and ensure all items are served in a timely manner to the highest freshness and quality.

 

This is a day shift, Monday through Friday.

Pay $20.00 - $22.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Follow recipes portion sizes and to a quality standards
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked, and utilize kitchen equipment to prepare food items such as knives, slicers, pots, steamers, and ovens
• Ensures proper baking temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines

More about you

• Beneficial to have 1-2 years pastry experience
• Basic math skills with the ability to understand, calculate and follow recipe measurements
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to work as a team player, following procedures and taking directions
• Capacity to work full time hours, Monday through Friday, day shift

Physical requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to remain standing for the entire length of shift while also walking, bending, reaching, and performing other repetitive motions
