Job Title: Project Accountant- Construction Industry Location: Fully Onsite – Kansas City Metro Type: Direct Hire | $55,000-65,000 | Benefits LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a dynamic and growing organization in the construction industry, who is seeking a detail-oriented and experience Project Accountant to support financial operations. The Project Accountant will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects. This position requires a well-rounded accounting professional with a strong background in construction accounting. Responsibilities:

• Manage AIA billing and ensure timely and accurate submission of payment applications.
• Oversee accounts payable, including matching purchase orders with vendor invoices.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and forecasts to ensure financial accuracy.
• Collaborate with project managers to track job costs and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports related to project performance.
• Maintain organized documentation for audits and compliance.
• Assist with month-end close and general ledger reconciliations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in AIA billing and construction-specific accounting software.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and PO/invoice matching.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
