Position Summary Join our security team in Aurora, Colorado, as an Unarmed Security Officer assigned to protect an active construction site. Your role is vital in maintaining a safe and controlled environment through routine patrols, access monitoring, and rapid response to incidents. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during overnight hours. Location & Compensation Location: Northeast Aurora, CO Schedule: Full-Time | 24/7 Site Shifts: Swings or Overnight | 8 Hour Shifts Compensation: $21.00 per hour + Benefits Key Responsibilities Visible Security Presence: Act as a strong deterrent against unauthorized access and unsafe behavior. Patrol Operations: Conduct regular vehicle and foot patrols of the premises. Access Control: Monitor entrances and exits; verify authorization for all personnel on site. Hazard & Risk Assessment: Identify and report safety concerns and potential security risks. Incident Response: Quickly respond to disturbances, safety breaches, or suspicious activity. Documentation: Complete accurate and timely reports of all incidents, patrols, and observations. Customer Interaction: Provide clear guidance and assistance to staff, contractors, and visitors. Coordination: Work with dispatch, site supervisors, and law enforcement as needed. Minimum Qualifications Age: Must be 21 years or older. Experience: Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred. License: Valid driver’s license for 3+ years; no permits accepted. Driving Record: Clean MVR (no accidents or major violations in the past 3 years). Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from the site is required. Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and urinalysis (site-dependent). Education: High school diploma or GED. Language: Must speak, read, and write fluent English; Spanish is a plus. Technology: Must own a smartphone with email access and basic tech literacy. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs. in various weather conditions.
