Piping Designer

Job Overview/Summary:

Seeking a Piping Designer who is responsible for supporting and actively participating in detailed Piping design activities in a variety of offshore and onshore projects.

As a successful candidate, you will be assigned projects and take ownership of designing various onshore/ offshore facilities. Final deliverables include items such as Piping Isometrics, Piping Plans, Line List, Tie-Point List and a Bill of Materials.

In this position, you will interface with project managers and other discipline leads to ensure accuracy and consistency across our project deliverables.

Responsibilities and Duties:

·         Utilize engineering sketches, specifications and supporting documents in the designing, detailing of various Piping system configurations.

·         Model Piping using CADWorx using provided project P&ID’s.

·         Generate ISO drawings using CADWorx and ISOGen.

·         Create equipment models from provided vendor information.

·         Create Piping Plans and Section drawings.

·         Mark-up P&IDs based on design modifications.

·         Produce deliverables utilizing company standards within project-approved schedule & budget.

·         Assemble information and reference drawings from a variety of sources.

·         Maintain proper file management in accordance with company and industry standards.

·         Interact and communicate effectively with clients, engineers, designers, and other office personnel.

 

Required Skills/Qualifications:

·         7+yrs Piping Design experience in the oil and gas industry.

·         Small project lead experience preferred.      

·         Must be proficient using CADWorx, AutoCAD (3D) and Navisworks.

·         Previous onshore and offshore project experience.

·         Working knowledge of 3D piping and equipment modeling.

·         Excellent attention to detail.

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis to apply.
