As part of our mission to build the engine that powers modern claims processing, we are seeking a seasoned SIU Desk Investigator to bring human expertise to support us in fraud model development and training.
This is a fully remote, contract position for a self-directed expert with a rich background in auto SIU at major P&C carriers. You will be responsible for analyzing complex digital evidence to validate our system's reports.
You will.
????? Deliver Elite Investigative Reports: Author clear, concise, and detailed narrative reports that logically present investigative findings, synthesize digital evidence, and provide a well-supported recommendation on auto insurance claims. These reports will then be used to help develop our internal tooling.
???? Master A Digital Toolkit: Conduct sophisticated digital investigations using a suite of third-party data sources.
???? Go Beyond the Surface: Synthesize disparate data points from claim files, policy documents, and digital evidence to uncover hidden connections and validate fraud indicators.
???? Deep Carrier Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of direct experience as an SIU Investigator or SIU Adjuster within one or more large P&C insurance carriers, with a primary focus on personal or commercial auto lines.
???? Proven Desk Investigation Skills: A demonstrated history of handling a significant caseload of desk-based SIU files from initial referral to final disposition.
???? Digital Tool Proficiency: Expertise in using investigative databases and digital tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Thomson Reuters CLEAR, social media analytics platforms) to uncover and verify information.
???? Strong Foundational Knowledge: A deep understanding of P&C insurance policies, complex claims handling processes, and state-specific fraud regulations.
Specialized Expertise: Experience investigating specific or complex fraud types, such as organized medical fraud rings, staged accidents, or large loss property fraud.
