Role Description

This is a full-time Japanese-to-English Translator role based in New York, NY. The Translator will work closely with both internal teams and clients to provide accurate translations between Japanese and English, ensuring business communications, documents, and presentations reflect the intended message. Daily responsibilities include translating written and oral communications, proofreading translated materials for accuracy, and collaborating with teams to ensure contextual and cultural accuracy. The Translator will play a key role in bridging language barriers to facilitate effective communication and support seamless operations between Japanese organizations and their U.S. counterparts.

Qualifications

• Fluency in both Japanese and English, with strong written and verbal language skills
• Experience in translation, including document translation and interpretation
• Strong attention to detail for proofreading and ensuring accurate, context-specific translations
• Exceptional communication and cultural sensitivity skills for effectively bridging communication gaps
• Proficiency in research and problem-solving to ensure translations align with specialized industry needs
• Ability to work collaboratively in team settings and meet project deadlines
• Prior experience in consulting, communications, or relevant industries is a plus

Salary : DOE $70,000.00~80,000.00 + benefit package

The salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience level, with the provided range typically reflecting 1-3 years of prior translation experience within the financial sector.
