Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN with current ONS Chemo certification and at least two years of specialty experience for a 28-bed hematology/transplant unit.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is in a hospital-based hematology/transplant unit providing care to leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma patients
• Administers chemotherapy, bone marrow/stem cell transplants, and Car-T therapy
• Average RN to patient ratio is 1:4
• Unit has 28 beds and uses Epic for charting
• 12-hour day shifts (3x12s per week), every other weekend required
• Floating required as needed within hospital
• Work setting is a Level I Trauma Center
• Provide specialized nursing care and supportive therapy for adult hematologic oncology population
• Responsible for chemotherapy, biotherapy, and transplant therapy administration
• Royal blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must have been separated from facility for at least two years to be eligible as a traveler
• Orientation includes required online modules
• Up to 7 days of pre-approved time off allowed per contract
• Staff parking available at monthly cost

• Active CT or compact RN license required; candidate must have applied for license before consideration
• Current ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required
• Minimum two years of recent oncology RN experience in a similar setting
• Previous trauma center experience at a large facility required
• Able to provide one reference from recent experience
• Flu vaccination required with no declinations accepted
• COVID-19 vaccination and booster required unless approved for medical or religious exemption
• Must reside more than 75 miles from facility; local candidates not accepted
