Construction Accountant
Chicago, IL

$80,000 to $100,000 + Bonus/Benefits/PTO

We’re partnering with a well-established construction company that is looking to add a Construction Accountant to their growing team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys being close to operations and contributing to the financial success of active projects.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain job cost reports, WIP schedules, and project financial statements
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets, costs, and contract billings
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Support audit and financial reporting requirements
• Identify process improvements and help strengthen internal controls

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within construction or project-based industries
• Strong understanding of job costing and WIP reporting
• Proficiency with ERP or construction accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, or similar)
• Detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
