Our practice is part of the
Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Group . We are dedicated to preventive care in children and adults and improving the overall health and wellness of our community. This role will primarily focus on primary care while being an integral part of an outstanding regionalsports medicineprogram.
Position Highlights: - Work-Life Balance: Monday-Friday schedule, with sideline coverage responsibilities and a Saturday rotation.
- Diverse Patient Population: Treat patients of all ages in an engaging outpatient clinic setting with opportunities and requirements for sideline and community coverage.
- Team Collaboration: Join an experienced team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, medical assistants, athletic trainers, physical therapists, radiologic technicians, cast techs, and administrative staff, in a supportive work environment.

What You'll Do: Physicians work to care for patients in a variety of ways, from treating chronic illnesses to advising about preventative healthcare to spending time on the sidelines in collaboration with athletic trainers. Primary Care and Sports Medicine physicians perform physical exams, taking medical histories, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests, and recommending a plan of treatment. There is the opportunity for advanced training in ultrasound and procedural skills.
Physician Requirements: - Successful completion of M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
- Successful completion of a Family Medicine Residency Program with graduation from a Sports Medicine Fellowship, with a preference for an accredited program.
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Family Medicine.
- Current North Carolina Medical License, DEA, and BLS certification.
