Job summary As the line cook, you are responsible for managing the cook station through proper station setup procedures, receiving and communicating guest orders, preparing and plating menu items to meet our quality standards, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. This position focuses on Breakfast shifts (breakfast service), typically scheduled on Saturdays, Sundays, and assigned holidays, starting at a $22/hour pay rate (DOE). Responsibilities Follows all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and the General Policies and Procedures section of the Line Cook Training Manual. Maintains a positive attendance record by arriving 10 minutes before shifts and managing replacements as needed, with a goal of minimizing no-shows. Adheres to sanitation and safety standards and maintains a score of 90% or better on audits. Maintains uniform, appearance, and grooming standards as specified in the Employee Handbook and Line Cook Training Manual. Supports guest service standards and aims for a low customer complaint ratio. Knowledge of all menu items; can explain specials and answer questions about preparation, ingredients, portion size, and sides. Determines par levels, communicates the prep list, and aims for minimal waste. Communicates orders/needs to station cooks with accuracy and timeliness. Prepares and verifies that all menu items are prepared according to quality standards 100% of the time. Notifies expeditor/server when orders are ready for delivery within 1 minute of plating. Follows receiving and storage processes with accuracy as outlined in training materials. Completes meals efficiently for guests; performs side work as required. Follows end-of-shift checkout procedures with accuracy and supports team duties as needed.
